Home staging in Amsterdam and the Gooi
An empty home is hard for a buyer to read. How big is that room really, where does the dining table go, is there space for a bed and two bedside tables? A well furnished home answers those questions before they are asked, and shows what it feels like to live there.
For this we work with our partner Brandt & Eskes Verkoopstyling. They furnish your home temporarily with furniture and accessories chosen for the home and for the buyer we have in mind. We time it with the photography and the first viewings, so everything is ready when the home goes online.
Who are Brandt & Eskes?
Brandt & Eskes Verkoopstyling was founded by Lisette Brandt and Yorieke Eskes. Lisette brings her love of styling and interiors and an eye for detail. Yorieke knows the property world and the sales process from the inside. That combination makes the difference: they do not furnish a home for a magazine, but for the buyer who has to buy it.
They work with their own collection of furniture and accessories, including pieces by young designers and Dutch furniture makers. Many pieces can be bought by arrangement, for anyone who would like to keep what is there after the purchase.
Brandt & Eskes work in Amsterdam and the Gooi, and are used to coordinating with estate agents and developers on planning, photography and handover.

From first advice to the last viewing
Advice at the first meeting
During our first visit to your home we look at whether staging adds anything in your case. For an empty home it almost always does. We also tell you when it is not needed.
Proposal from Brandt & Eskes
Brandt & Eskes come to see the home and make a proposal for the furnishing. You receive their quote before anything is agreed.
Furnishing before the photography
The furniture goes in just before the photographer arrives. We plan the two together, so the photos, the video and the floor plan show the furnished home straight away.
Viewings
Buyers walk through a home that is finished. That makes the viewing calmer and the conversation about the price more concrete.
Extend or collect
After the sale everything is collected, or the buyer takes over pieces by arrangement. If you would like the furnishing to stay until completion, we arrange that with Brandt & Eskes.

What does home staging cost?
Staging is not included in our commission. You receive a quote from Brandt & Eskes in advance and pay them directly. We do include it in your selling plan, so you see all the costs of the sale in one overview before you sign anything.

When does home staging pay off?
Especially with an empty home, a home with an awkward layout and in a price range where buyers compare a lot. A furnished home shows what a space can do, and buyers see that in the photos before they even come to view.
When is the furniture collected?
After the sale, or later if you would like the furnishing to stay until completion. We agree the timing with Brandt & Eskes, so the collection does not get in the way of the final inspection.
Can the buyer keep the furniture?
Often, yes. Many pieces from the Brandt & Eskes collection can be bought by arrangement. They settle this directly with the buyer.
